Dress Code for First Date

I am sure everyone here should have some experiences with dating. But if you have no experience, then this is the right post for you. But this does not mean those with experience with dating with lady couldn’t read. Rather, this will definitely give you more ideas on how you wear on your first date.

Dress code for dating, be it first date or many times. it’s all depends on the event.

Restaurant, or Bar

If you are taking your lady to a restaurant, a dress shirt is a must. Find a nice, collared shirt that is currently in style. You can find a lot of online resources such as a-man-fashion :P or maybe subscription of a Men Fashion magazine is a good start. Jeans work if the setting is casual, but dress pants may work better. The shoes you wear must be dress shoes. Minimize any fashion accessories.

Club

Most clubs have a dress code. So check the rules for the club you’re attending. Most of the time a nice collared shirt is appropriate along with a nice pair of dress pants. Again, dress shoes are a must and if possible, minimize any fashion accessories that you used to carry.

Bowling, Mini Golf, Movie, Concerts, Sports event

This is the freestyle come into play. You could dress up for these events, but most likely you’ll look like a dork. :( Wear a clean pair of jeans and a shirt that’s in style. Hiking shoes are alright in these kind of environment, but if you can, wear darker in color.

If your date isn’t familiar with the type of setting you will be taking her to, you will want to let her know the type of dress the setting requires. Let her know of your plan to wear jeans so that she doesn’t show up dressed to the nines.

Use your best judgment based on the event, but keep in mind that you need to bump it up a notch if you want to impress. There is no “one size fits all” rule. Physical appearance such as comb your hair, brush your teeth, slap on the cologne are equally important.

· Select pieces that won’t break up your body into blocks. So guys, suggest to opt for thin belts the same color as your trousers.

· Go for well-tailored looks, princess seams and darts. A looser fit can often look wider.

· Pick vertical detailing: thin stripes, visible seams, interesting buttons and contrasting ties.

· Great posture is an easy way to add height, or the appearance of it, so remember to take advantage of this

The Unshaven Styles

If you are admire the unshaven style and try to follow this man fashion style with unshaven look, then I suggest you think twice again. Alright, this is not suitable for every guy here, but it is in style if you can pull it off. The unshaven look.

I do admire the look on some guys, but I am not the biggest fan of it because if this is not maintain properly, this could turn out worst than what you expect. However, when done right, on the right face type and with proper grooming, it can lend a sense of mystery and “rough guy” look to even the nicest outfit - quite the lovely contrast.

So who can pull it off? If you are the guys with more square, or angular faces, this probably just perfect for you like George Michael. If you have a really strong jaw line, this will likely work for you. I would not suggest it for guys with overly round faces.

By the way, this is definitely not suitable if you are going for job interview or some office environments.

The Know-How

Simple, let your hair grow, but make sure it grows evenly, and keep it neat and clean. You don’t want to look like you just rolled out of bed and were too lazy to shave. You want to look like you made a determined effort to make a style statement. Here how to go about it, just get a beard trimmer with adjustable levels - similar to when you get your hair razored, another cheaper option get a comb and put it between the (ideally electric) razor and hair and just trim slightly to keep short.

So far there is not many discussion on men’s skincare. I think it is fair that fashion styles should also include skin care. So today I will touch on another skincare tips, aromatic oils or also known as fragrance oil.

If you think that aromatic oils are only for woman, you are wrong. Many essential oils now are specifically created for man skin care. The fact is that such oils are for everyone who wants to pamper their skin with healthful nutrients and minerals that can give glowing results.

As far as aromatic oils are concerned, skin care for men does not need to be complicated. All you need to do is by add a tiny amount on your lotion or moisturizers; this can give invigorating benefits to your skin.

As aromatic oils are very generic, it can be used on all skin types, for both men and women. Hence, it is not surprise that some of the aromatic oils labeled themselves as a man skin care product. It cleanses and moisturizing even the toughest skin type of men. Moreover, essential oil helps in smoothing the usually rough areas of the man’s body such as the knees and elbows. Around the facial areas, it helps minimize the lines as well.

Man skincare Tip
If you have scars, even the old ones, aromatic oils is said to help in minimizing the scar as it helps in promoting the emergence of new skin cells around and within the scar. I personally have not not tried this, but some said regular application of the oil in the scar area have brought some positive results. It’s up to you whether you believe or not.

Nowadays, men are increasingly taking care of their skin. We have come to realize this is not just about looking good, it’s primarily about health. But realizing this, is just the first step, then the second step becomes a little bit harder. It’s then, when ask the question: What man skin care products should I use?

First you should start getting to know your skin. Man skin care products are special depending on the type of skin you have. Look at shaving creams and face cleaning soaps for example, they have certain types: for sensitive skin, for dry skin, oily skin. Determine which skin type you have, and work from there.

Other thing you need to keep in mind is your main goal with a product. Similar to women skin care products, man skin care products exist for a variety of applications, from anti-aging creams to pore cleaning products.

Even man skin care product market has been for sometimes, but more and more of these kind of products pop up in the market. Don’t get caught on nice packaging and miracle claims, always stick to the facts because is your health what we are talking about here. Finally, remember great man skin care products make you feel great. Listen to your body and you can’t go wrong.

- Spruce up your style this winter with stylish turtlenecks. Apart from being fashionable, they cover your neck and protect you from catching cold. For men who do not like to wrap up a scarf around their neck, turtleneck is just apt.
